Beavertail Full Floor Transporters
The Wessex TRBT Beavertail trailers are compact load carriers with wheels underneath to make full use of the trailer's width; which is 6' for the 12' long TRBT126, and 6'6" for the 16' long TRBT1666.
Both models have the 4ft tail tapered down to reduced loading height by 5", improving the angle and shortening the length of ramp required.
The TRBT126 (12' x 6') is available with either full mesh ramp tailgate or a pair of 6' x 14" ramps conveniently stored under the rear. To achieve ideal aerodynamics, the longer TRBT1666 16' trailer is only supplied with ramps which stow within the chassis, accessible for either side.
The 18mm Birch Ply floor has a 500grm overlay of antislip Phenolic film. For extreme use this can be supplemented with an Alloy treadplate overlay.
Safety is all-important, so the Wessex Beavertails are supplied as standard with rear swing-down prop stands, front wheel stop (T-bar), large lashing eyes on each corner and rope hooks welded to each box section cross member.
Bed sizes up to 22' long (in 2' increments) and widths of 7' and 7'6" are available to special order.

Channel Tilt-Deck Car Transporters
The Wessex WCT Car Transporters are of open frame design to minimise weight, whilst providing a sturdy platform that is easy to load with the in-built hydraulic tilt.
The integrated tandem axle has been developed as part of the chassis with the heavy-duty forged drop arms positions for a minimal 16" load height. The deck pivots behind the axles, to keep all4 wheels safely ton the ground whilst loading.
The low angle, profiled deck ends and outboard lights all enabled an unobstructed drive onto the anti-slip raised deck pwhich double as multi strap hook holes.
Over centre safety latches secure the deck for transport. The low profile allow mudguards are safe to stand on and align with the edge of the folded deck channels, accommodating car door sills as low as 8"!

Channel Tilt-Deck Full Floor Transporters
The Wessex TR Tilt-Deck Transporters represent the ultimate in loadability. The front of the platform is raised from the A-frame by a hydraulic ram (manually pumped) transforming the whole deck into a gentle ramp.
The TRTG166 maintains an extremely low centre of gravity by having the hweels on the outside, and provides a level platform, 6' wide, with a very low load angle. The low 7" sides are an integral part of the monocoque chassis, giving an advantage that can be measured in pay-load.
The TRTD167-35 has a full width 7' deck with the wheels positions underneath giving a clear load area. A 'Beavertail' tapers the four feet at the tail of the deck to minimise load angle.
The hinged tail-flap, made of Alloy treadplate and a galvanised steel frame, forms a ramp extension for smooth loading and acts as a tailgate in the transport position. It can also be folded right over to lay flat on the tail section of the deck.
